John Matthews
Son of Bob Matthews, television personality & lead singer of the famed Horace Heidt Band, John was memorizing lyrics & singing acapella by the age of 3. His first two songs were the 1940's hits "Don't Cry, Joe" & "Goodnight Irene".
In his early 30's, Matthews achieved a 2nd Degree Black Belt in the Korean Martial Art, Tang Soo Do. Training directly under 9 time world champion, Chuck Norris. John went on to compete and train all over the U.S., while serving as managing partner of the famed Sherman Oaks Karate Studio and many other Chuck Norris studio locations.
Nearing retirement, John continues to perform throughout the Pacific Northwest & West Coast. Most recently performing with Tuxedo Junction at their annual summer concert held at Arbor Crest Winery in Spokane Washington.
